The Power of Hypnosis

Hypnosis is one of the most powerful tools in the world today for the enrichment of personal life.  With hypnosis, one can break undesirable habits, create desirable habits and constructively deal with and resolve many issues that keep one from living a full and happy life.
Unfortunately, the word "hypnosis" conjures up all sorts of negative images such as the maiden falling under the powers of a Svengali or the man who becomes like a nonthinking robot.   These rather alarming impressions are created by novels, film and stage.  This is the stuff of pure fiction.
In trance, your mind does not go away.  The mind simply shifts to a more internal place that is more focused and less distracted.  This is the state that an athlete taps into when he is playing at the top of his game.  An athlete might call this place of internal focus, "being in the zone".  An artist, musician or writer, when absorbed in the act of creating, might call this state "being in the groove" or "being in the state of flow".
Using hypnosis, a student can be more focused; an athlete can perform at his best ; a phobic person can eliminate his fear; an overweight person can lose weight; a nail biter can grow her nails; a life-long smoker can rid themselves of cigarettes; a stressed person can manage stress and the list goes on and on.  Many medical issues can be dealt with using this mind-body connection.  There have been numerous books written on this topic.
  (See Book Recommendations ).
Fortunately, hypnosis is coming out of the age of darkness and ignorance and into the light of modern times.  We are beginning to understand that much of our limitation and ill health are created by our own thoughts and behaviors.  Using hypnosis, we have the tool to help ourselves move into wholeness and wellness. Each and every one of us has the ability to harness the power of the inner mind and take advantage of the mind-body connection.
